Too Faced Boudoir Eyes Palette!

Hey girlies! Today I'm reviewing the Too Faced Boudoir Eyeshadow Palette! So I am a HUGE Too Faced fan, especially when it comes to their eyeshadows. I heard a lot about this palette so I figured I would give it a try. My favorite beauty guru, Shaaanxo, has mentioned this palette several times and used it in several tutorials so for my birthday I picked it up on Monday. The palette is $36 at Ulta. So overall I really like the eyeshadows but am not a fan of the metal packaging- I prefer the cardboard-like packaging better as it feels much sturdier. However the metal packaging is very pretty. It comes with a little guide on three ways to put on the eyeshadows(day, classic, and fashion) but obviously you can create your own looks with the palette. My favorite shades are Lap Dance, Garter Belt, Fuzzy Handcuffs,  and Sugar Walls. I didn't put all the names for each shadow but here are the three looks they give you.
Overall I think this is a great palette and I would give it an 8/10 because I don't love the metal packaging and there are several shades that are too similar. Hope you enjoyed this review!

Sincerely,
Jj

P.s. I've been really slacking on Winn Wednesday and I'm sorry so here is a photo of my baby and his brother(also my baby).
And this is Dixie cat!!

Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation

Hi ladies! Today I'm doing a review of a new favorite product I bought last weekend- the Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation! I am the shade light 48 which doesn't match my body because my face is paler from sunscreen but I just apply bronzer. It is a must have for those who like medium(if you use very little) to full coverage everyday or just on those special occasions. This puppy is not going to budge. And to test it out I wore it a full day and I even worked out in it(I know gross but I didn't have time to take it off)... And when I got home I still had a flawless finish! I would give this product a 9/10 because it does what it says! I don't even need concealer with this foundation! The foundation has a matte finish but is not drying and still looks somewhat dewy on my skin. I can feel it on my skin but it is very heavy duty so I expect nothing less. I do not recommend this for very dry skin.
Beware the following photos show off-color hands from wearing colorguard gloves in the sun for several hours- but I promise the color really does match me...
You can see above how a little goes a long way. One pump is plenty for my entire face but it will vary depending on how much coverage you like.

Here's a pic of me with the foundation and a fairly natural makeup look. This shows (Atleast in my opinion) that the foundation isn't going to make your face look like cake but what you wear with the foundation that makes or breaks the look. So just experiment and do whatever makes you feel confident!
Thanks for stopping by!
Sincerely,
Jj

Winn Wednesday!

Hey girlies! So I thought I could do something fun that did not involve beauty or makeup and this is the idea I came up with! I got my idea from Temptalia's weekly pictures of her dog! For those of you who don't know me here is a fun fact: I love animals. Particularly cats. Yes I am a crazy cat lady. I have four pets and my entire life my house has been a small zoo. Right now I have two dogs- Ida Clare and Sulley and two cats- Winn and Dixie(who are brothers). So I thought it would be silly and fun to do a weekly post of my cat, Winn. Now before you ask "Why just Winn?" lemme explain... He's my baby(; Im going to call these weekly posts Winn Wednesday and they may not always be as lengthy as this post but come on who doesn't love a cute kitty picture?! So without further adieu, Winn Wednesday!

This pic was taken a little less than a year ago when he was a kitten. Winn was obsessed with my dog Ida Clare but unfortunately it was not mutual. Ida still missed our old kitty, Raja. However this did not stop Winn and he latched himself around her paw while she was sleeping. You can also see Dixie in the background stretched out by her back. This photo always makes me smile because I mean c'mon hes adorable(;

Bh Malibu Palette!

Hey everyone! Today I recieved the Bh Malibu Palette in the mail and I am so excited to do my first review on it! This palette is super fun and is perfect for summer! The packaging is ADORABLE and its very portable. I would give this palette an 8.5/10 because some of the shades are just are not what I expected. I numbered all of the shades for convenience and I also used Nyx eyeshadow base in skin tone under all of the eyeshadow swatches....

Let the swatches begin...

While this palette was impressive there were some letdowns quality wise... 1,4, and 12(worst one!) were each somewhat difficult to apply. These three shadows are all matte and most matte shadows are not very pigmented which explains the struggle. However, some of the matte shadows applied great like 3 and 6. A bit of persuading may be necessary for some of the shadows but if you apply enough these shadows can be stunning. You can also apply them wet so they are more pigmented and metallic. 17 took several swatches to get to the color in the picture but once you do its a very pretty color. I dont know how often I will wear the face powders because they really are nothing special to me(except maybe 18). I think the palette is worth the money and has some very unique colors in it that I don't own. I ordered my palette on www.haulerdeals.com
Thanks and I hope you enjoyed my first blog!

Sincerely,
Jj
